Ivybridge 1333mhz or 1600mhz

Will i see real world performance increase if i use 1600mhz over 1333mhz ram?

Also what is the benefit of spending lots on ram that is the same capacity and speed. Are there other factors which affect the performance of the ram?

Thanks in Advance

  1. no, read anandtech article.

    http://www.anandtech.com/show/4503/sandy-bridge-memory-scaling-choosing-the-best-ddr3/6

Benchmark tests indicate very minimal 2% increase.
But if the fancy ram costs the same (or minimally more), there is no reason NOT to get it.

Read the conclusion page for the advice you are looking for.
  2. that article was about sandy bridge, is it the same as ivy bridge?

    thanks for the quick reply
  3. +1 raytseng : minimal increase, so unless you have it for free.

I am pretty sure it's same with Ivy.
