So im upgrading from my GTX 260 Core 216 to a new GTX 560 non ti version for battlefield 3 so my system specs will be

Intel core 2 duo E8400 3.0 ghz
4 gb ddr3 1333
PSU 700 Watts
GTX 560 (non ti)

Do you think that my CPU will create a noticeable bottleneck? I saw my CPU really working hard to play the beta but i think upgrading to the GTX 560 will relieve some of that pressure. The GTX 260 is bare minimum. So your thoughts?

You probably will experience a bottle neck with a dual-core CPU. More games are now utilising Quad Core CPU's (BF3 especially). That's no reason not to upgrade though, the GTX 560 will still give huge performance increase compared to GTX 260. A CPU upgrade would certainly be worth considering though in the near future :)

Also to note: It might be worth considering the 6870 over the 560. They are very similarly priced (6870 I believe is very slightly cheaper) but seems to perform better (statistically)

I highly recommend getting the 560ti instead of the 560. The very slight price increase gives massive gains in performance, even more so overclocked (can easily beat 6950 under heavy oc)

You will get a bottleneck with an e8400 though. I would estimate about 20-40% compared to an i5 2500k at @ 4.0 Ghz

alright, thanks guys, i assumed id get a slight bottleneck using that processor ill have to upgrade. Haha and i already ordered the GTX 560, its in transit. It'll be overclocked to TI clocks too, only difference will be cores where the TI has more. But overall im sure the 560 will give me at least a nice boost compared to the 260 though not as good as it could be. I was getting 18 ish to about 25 fps on caspian border, that was pretty bad

thanks though!
