~24 inches is an ideal size for a monitor. After that its really too much money and quite frankly, too much screen that close to your face.

The 212 is good for the money but there are better ones for more money. The Thermaltake Frio is one of the best along with Noctua D14

OC'ed 560ti's are almost as good as the 570's and $100 less. Would save you money and you wouldn't take much of a loss on performance.
