Hello..

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card..

I'm tired of playing World of Warcraft with everything on low, and barely getting 14 fps.

My system specs:

Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
nVidia 6150SE Graphics Card
4GB RAM
AMD Athlon 7750 Dual-Core Processor at 2.7 Ghz.

If this helps, it's a HP Slimline, model s5120f.

I was reading that HP has a bad reputation for putting low powered, power supplies.

Anyways.. What's a cheap, but good graphics card? I want to be able to play Call of Duty as well.. But not Battlefield 3... I don't want to spend $1700 on a graphics card.

Thanks in Advance.

Without a doubt a HD 6670 or HD 5670
both are very low wattage
I use a HD 5670 on a Dell 280w PSU and the HD 6670 is similar

I can play Crysis 2 DX9 at 1920x1080 with Hardcore settings
so should be fine for WOW
this is me playing C2 with the HD 5670

a HD 6670 can be had for $100 or under
newer version of the HD 5670 about %20 faster
a HD 5670 is about $75
these are Newegg USA prices

BTW DONT BUMP

moderators here hate that!

at least act like you have something new to add to the thread :)

Thanks, I saw a 5770 on eBay for $59.99

I'll check into the 5670 as well.

Sorry for the bump, it was just disappearing in the thread list.

Also, nice gameplay.. Gorgeous game.

Mine is a MSI military grade low profile with a Twin Frozr setup
that got butchered by cutters LOL long story

really any of the major players are fine
Asus,MSI,EVGA,HIS,XFX are more top end but Sapphire,Sparkle,Zotac and Galaxy
are all decent

Just Read Reviews on that make and model number first

I am a review and benchmark freak
especially like Newegg user reviews besides magazine pro articles

watch it with the HD 5770 and power requirements
unless your PSU is upgraded it might not be able to handle that card
that card needs an external 6 pin power connector anda minimal 450w PSU
http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/hd-5770/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-5770-overview.aspx#3

and an HP slimline from that era probably doesnt have a PSU to handle that
also you would need a low profile half height card for a slimline

I would look at this one in that price range
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121441

unless you upgrade PSU
than a HD 5770 for that price is awesome
but again I am pretty sure it would have to be low profile
