110v~220v mean

I purchased a small portable ultrasound machine from China. The specs say AC110v~ac220v. 50-60 hz 35 watts. I live in North America 110v. Does this mean I will need a transformer?

The way the specs read, it would seem to have universal voltage input.
Does it have a NA 3 prong plug ?

Hi

If it has a standard 3 pin kettle lead type plug it means in the US you use 110 volts and if you came to the UK (where I am) you would push over the usually red switch and use 220 volts...

We get a few Americans in my shops who do not realise this and leave it set to 110 volts and plug in a Uk 240 volt mains lead and blow the PSU
