HD6990 overclock

Hi, i bought a HD6990 just recently, i thought of overclocking it, but i dont exactly know how to do it. I need some advice.

My specs are : intel core i7 2600k @3.4ghz, asus p8p67 pro rev 3.0, 8gb ddr3 1600mhz ram kingston hyperX, AMD Radeon HD6990, Corsair HX 1000W psu.

Why do you need to overclock it?

Do you have AMD Catalyst installed? With the installed software you can easily overclock your graphic card. Be aware that when the card has been overclocked, it will get louder as it get's hotter and the total life time of the card will get reduced.
