I have a 500w PS, the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA EP45-DS3L

I uninstalled the old drivers, turned off the computer, swapped cards, plugged everything back together, turned the computer back on, computer and video card turn on, but the monitor shows no signal, I am completely stumped here

Running windows 7

Okay so to update

I had everything unplugged except the power cord and the monitor, when I powered on, a deep red boot screen appeared for a second and then flickered out, the computer sounded like it was booting like normal, but the signal was cut, is this a sign of low power? (500w might not be enough)?

No good, ultra has been very hit or miss for far to many over the years and is not a quality brand. I suggest antec or enermax as well corsair for a decent psu. Also seasonic is very good. To put my money where my mouth is I am going to be buying a new psu soon and it will be a gold rated seasonic or next unit.

I purchased through NCIX, and I have an RMA # ready for an exchange, so yeah if this isn't the problem, it is possibly $100 dollars down the drain, although my power supply is approaching 4 years old...

edit: in regards to it being a faulty video card

It ended up being the power supply, with the replacement the video card works flawlessly!
