Hello

I am going to build my first ever pc, and i was wondering whether Corsair Vengeance 16gb (2x8gb) CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 High Profile RAM would work in an ASUS P8Z77-V PRO Motherboard.

Any reply or advice would be greatly appreciated.

according to asus sit your motherboard support memory as below
4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2600(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333 MHz Non-ECC,
so your motherboard will support Corsair Vengeance 16gb (2x8gb) CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9

If on your build you are planning to use one of the 3rd party cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 +/Evo you want to change the memory form the normal Corsair Vengeance to the Corsair Vengeance low profile memory. The problem is that the fan from most of these cooler can sit over the top of the first and some times even the second memory slots on the board. The bottom of the fan sits about 1.7" from the board. The normal Corsair Vengeance memory stands 2" so it can possiblily block you from mounting the cooler.
