What is this BOTTLENECK?

I have a Intel Pentium 4 3GHz processor. i plan to buy a high end graphics card about $100. Will my processor cause any problems?

can i safely buy any card?

can my pc run smoothly with Nvidia GTX or ATI RADEON HD series?

I depends on the game and your resolution. In games/resolutions in which the gpu is more utilized then probably not. In certain games (Skyrim, WoW to name a few) the game is very cpu intensive. In those cases yeah, it's going to struggle.

Hi :) 

To start with $100 will get you a LOW end graphics card...$700 would get you a high end card....

If you add a $100 card with that CPU you wont have a bottleneck...if you add a $700 card you would...

...Its a Pentium 4. Any GPU will be hopelessly bottlenecked.
