Hi, Im running core 2 quad q6600 with Arctic cooler freezer pro 7 Hsf. and at full load, like say im playin battlefield 3 for 1 and a half hours my temps go to 65 degrees max.
Also My gtx275 goes up to 75 degrees
What i want to know is are these temps ok for these pieces of hardware?
My room is fairly warm aswell.

When did the last time you installed the processor? the thermal paste drying up could also lead to really high temp on processor.

Installed cpu about a month ago, maybe I need to reapply because when I applied heatsink i just put a big blob of paste in middle of cpu and then fixed hsf down.
Or maybe iI need more case fans i only have one 120mm fan and 80mm exhaust fan.

Oh and idle temps are-
CPU= 31- 35 degrees celcius
GPU=39 degrees celcius

how big a blob?

So I removed, cleaned and reapplied/reseated Hsf in the correct position this time :D I had it so the fan was facing the exhaust fan, so it wasnt getting any cool air, now at full load my temps only reach 56 degrees celcius

Yeah, you would think.

I bought a Tuniq Tower years ago for my C2D E6600. While I had Arctic Silver 5, I decided to use Tuniq's thermal paste... I think it was called TX-1 or MX-1... whatever. After about a year I noticed my idle temps at around 75c. The thermal paste turned to powder. I literally had to scrap most it off before I would wipe the heatsink and CPU with a towel + alcohol. Needless to say, I applied AS5.
