Hi everyone!
i am getting a new laptop based on amd fusion processors, and was wondering something. the apu has the ability to overclock itself if the demand is there and temps allow it. is there a program to let me manually overclock the apu? i have the amd a8-3530mx, which runs at 1.9 GHz with a max speed on 2.6 GHz. i want it to run at about 2.2 GHZ base with no turbo. is that possible?

laptops dont allow overclocking because there built with very tight heat tolerance envelopes...
if you were to oc the cpu you would immediately run into problems cooling it...
so no you wont be able to oc it... if you want a cpu that you can oc then get a desktop... if you do you will easily get x2 the performance from a desktop for the same money as a laptop.

overclockgoes well. laptop seems not to mind the extra heat, temps are no higher (the fan just kicks in sooner) nothing exceeds 60c. going to replace thermal paste soon with arctic silver 5.
currently have a6-3400m running at 2 ghz per core undervolted to 1.025v
