I'm currently using Radeon HD 4650 (so this is what im used to) want something that will handle gaming and blu-ray. With DirectX11 (that is the current right?)

the new card choices are:

Radeon HD 6570 1GB - £59.99 http://www.maplin.co.uk/amd-radeon-hd-6570-1gb-graphics...

Radeon HD 6770 1GB - £119.99 http://www.maplin.co.uk/asus-amd-radeon-hd-6770-1gb-gra...

Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 - £145.50 http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/17846322/Sapphire-AMD-Rad...

Any ideas on other cards are welcome. my budget is £150

You don't mention your screen resolution nor cpu, so while its easy to pick the fastest, its hard to say which one is right for you.

This article has prices in $US, but it shows which card is the best value at a specific budget level, how well that card can game at what resolution, and finally has a table ranking almost all vid cards at the end:

those prices look a bit high--look on ebuyer --aria --dabs --scan uk --or overclockers uk

you should be able to get a 6870 for under £150

how much of a difference is there between HD 6570 vs. HD 6850
As theres a shop in town that sells the cheap one so i can go there whenever and buy it.
They also have the HD 6770 but its twice as much as the HD 6570.

Consider also your PSU.
For games, a HD6850 or HD6770 will be remarkably better than a HD6570, but they also use a lot more power. What brand and model (not just wattage) is your PSU? Does it have any PCIE power connectors, or would you have to use an adapter? If the latter, it might not be up to the task of powering a HD6850 or HD6870.

I know i've got enough power for a 6850 or 6870 as I read the power supply requirement review from this site but not sure if it has PCIE connections, I will have to look. seems like the 6570 might be the safe option.

Also remember my comparison at the moment is a 4650 so all I need to know how much of a difference there is between my card and the new cards

what kind of PSU will i need? i'm going to using a blu-ray drive, 2 HDD's, 2x 4GB RAM, i5 750 @2.67GHz & Radeon HD 6850 or maybe higher. also i have 120mm case fans at front and back and 2x 120mm case fans on the side (4x 120mm fans in total) Might do some overclocking too. Thanks
