Compaq SR2180NX Case power light Asus M4A88TD-M/USB3 Mobo

I have installed an Asus M4A88TD-M/USB3 into a Compaq SR2180NX case. all original wiring and front panels were not changed.

I managed to get everything working except the Green power light indicator strip on top of the power button. the pins for it are extremely small and i cannot find a way to connect it, even with the Mobo's supplied adapters.

I understand it would most likely take someone who knows these models to say for sure but any help is appreciated.
