Any way to manually install new mobo drivers to hard drive?

Right now I'm booting off of a secondary hard drive since I don't want to wipe my original hard drive (which won't boot because it has the drivers from the old mobo) clean.

Is there any way I can erase the old mobo drivers and install new ones manually?

new: asus m5a97r2.0
old: ... has no clear label but was part of a prebuilt set from newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

Hi, SATA ports are set to AHCI by default in BIOS. Set them to IDE and try booting from the old HDD.
