I have an older pc, and have 2 gigs of ram, which is the max that it will hold, I was wondering if I replaced the onboard graphics card w a bigger one via pci...would it help my performance by freeing up ram?

It would not be a noticeable performance increase.

Hi :)

It will slightly in games but not for desktop use....you may gain 32 or 64 or 128 or 256 mb of ram for windows (depending on how much the bios is sharing for the onboard graphics) but as has already been said, you wont notice it...

All the best Brett :)
