What fan type is more reliable?

I'm looking to upgrade my system and had a question about video card fans. I had to get a replacement for my current video card because I started hearing a grinding noise from the fan. The style of fan that I started hearing the grinding noise was like the one on this card.

I can get the same card with this style of fan.

Is one known to be more reliable than the other (i.e. doesn't begin to make grinding sounds)?

First choice hands down, that is the better of any fan type that you can get. They rarely fail and are better built. Plus blower style fans are usually external exhaust compared to others.
