I an doing a new build using a ASUS M4A89TD PRO series mother board. The book states the expansion slot supports 2Xpci Express 2.0X16. The new video cards I am looking at are listed at PCIE 2.1X16 will this work?

The difference is 0.1

Just kidding - I've never heard of PCI-e 2.1 before but everything is pretty much backward compatible, so you should be able to run your card or cards with no problem.
