A4 3300 APU - no graphics

I put together a new computer with an A4 3300 and an AsRock A75M-HVS mobo. I connected the monitor, VGA to the mobo and i could not get anything to show on the monitor. i had an old Radeon HD 5450, so installed that, and it worked. My question is, why didnt the APU produce any video, any suggestions on what i can do to get it to work?
Second, I dont mind using the HD 5450, but is the APU better? I'd rather use the APU graphics if it is actually better.

The APU has an integrated HD 6550, so the APU should contain a faster GPU.
I would say look around in Bios settings to see if you missed an option.

I couldnt find anything in the Bios.
I also loaded all the drivers that came with the ASRock board (on the CD).
Still no video through the on board VGA.

try the hdmi port, you might have gotten a bad vga port

I have the same trouble.

I plug the vga and the hdmi and I still have no signal video.

With a pci express vga it works.

I also navigate through the bios choosing vga on board as first vga device without any achievement.

I'am really sad.

what happens when you install drivers?

I can't install anything beacuse when I click on the power button I have "signal video" on the monitor.


With the pci express vga [ati 5870] all work without any problems. But I want to use the on board vga because the rig is for htpc purpose.

I haven't try to installl windows with the pci express card.

I can't see any links between install windows (witch pci express vga) and "no video signal" on monitor using onboard vga.

I update the bios with the last release.

Now the on board vga give me the video signal and all works.

It's a shame that a mainboard with stock bios has this issue.
