I am trying to decide which hd 6870 video card to buy.

These 3 are the ones I am considering:

PowerColor AX6870

BIOSTAR VA6875NPG2

XFX HD-687A-ZNFC

Does anyone have any of these? If so, what are your pros & cons?

Also, experiences with these companies?

Well, it ran a hot(65c), but it is <1M away from a radiator, manually set fan speed to 40, inaudible, I max out TF2 with ~150Fps, so that should be fine for HL : 2, Quake, And DN, and newest games just as fine, My monitors maximum resolution is 1280x1024, and I play Crysis with 8 times Anti-Aliasing at 45-60 Fps constantly.

Here's some proof of what it can do in Crysis, watch it in 720p, this is my video btw.

In my opinion, power cooler is crap quality but it's not major crap like PNY or whatever names that come up... Biostar makes cheap motherboard but lately I saw some improvement. XFX has lifetime warranty but their customer service is like nonexistent.. you will end up with automated/computer generated messages... If I have to go between the 3.. I would go for XFX

None of them is bad.. I would generally read the available reviews and see how other people are enjoying what they bought..

I've had to send a motherboard back to XFX once, on the hunch it was acting up. It ended up it was totally fine, a 680i. They sent me back a 780i "just in case". My customer experience with XFX was excellent.

I'd go with XFX again personally if i had the choice. That same 780i board is running happily in my spare computer build right now.

Yummerzzz,

How do you like it?

Can you play older games with it? (like Half Life, Quake, Duke Nukem, and Deus Ex), as well as the newest games? (doesn't need to highest settings, but no stuttering).

Is it quiet?

Does it run cool, or at least not overly hot?

Any problems or glitches?

Thanks!
