GUI MFC

I occasionally get the message 'GUI MFC Application has stopped working' at random times. As far as I know, it really has no effect on my computer, but it is irritating to see while I'm playing a game and a pop-up informs me about something irrelevant.

Does anybody have an idea of why this happens, and how to prevent it from happening?

Did you previously do something wrong with some programs removing, installing, changing or other actions?
Did you do something with program such as Adobe reader or others?
Did you try to install drivers again for fixing the problem?
