Hello,
I have an hp box win7 where the original hdd is failing, sometimes need ctrl-alt-del and boot menue to get os to run, 2nd time system restore; Q: Can I put a solid state drive in it? What connections would I need? Any other pitfalls? Thx
Yes to an ssd; it will run at the speed of your controller, and is backwards compatable. I've even gotten sata III ssd's to run on old sata I boards. If your board of choice has only sata II, that is ok; it's still plenty fast.
