Memtest86 shows DDR 663 AS DDR 800

Tags:

I have found a curious behavior, memtest86 showing ram setting (after realtime jumper clr and setting bios to default) 400MHZ (DDR800) . The chips are manufacturer labeled 666 (assuming 663MHZ). Does anyone believe that this could be just simply a software bug, generated by my bios? Reporting false setting(s) to memtest86? Could i be falsely reading the part numbers on these chips?
