Here is my current build I am thinking of buying:

Phenom IIx4 840 @ 3.2GHz
Radeon 5670 2G DDR3
2x2G DDR3 Ram
500G HDD 7200 RPM
500W PSU
Motherboard is Socket AM3, Do not know the specific model

I havent bought all my parts yet. I just want to know if this can handle heavy or graphically intense games (i.e. Crysis, Metro 2033) at 1366x768 or higher smoothly. Thank you to everyone that replies. I have links to any of the parts of you need them. (My ram and motherboard are bundled and I am buying from a friend for 125, so I do not have a link for that)

More about : rate build

a 5670 is overkill for 1366x768, i'd recommend at least 8gb of ram, and you most likely would want a sandy bridge build. However, it is fairly hard to help you as we have no idea what your budget is.

Well I am on a tight budget, and I think 4G of ram is enough. My mobo holds 16G ram max, w/4 slots, so I can upgrade in the future. And what do you mean by overkill?

Well, my budget is under 500(around 400-450 ideal for me)...yeah I know that's really tight. My HDD I got for free, so do not need to worry about that. Also, i do not need a monitor, keyboard, or mouse.

why not look at the $500 build on this website? it might give you some better options, as well as a better graphics card
