First build compatibility questions...

I just put together a new computer, my first. Everything is connected correctly, all lights, fans, and drives power on; but no video is sent to the monitor. I have done some research and found that this could happen if the motherboard and memory are not compatible.
My motherboard is an MSI Z68a-GD65 (g3), memory is G. Skill F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM. On G. Skill's website for this exact module, they only list the MSI GD80 as compatible. So my questions are these:
Is the G.Skill compatibility list up to date with every possible board?
Are my memory and motherboard compatible?
Is this the cause for my lack of display?

Here is the rest of my components:

i5-2500k
msi N680gtx twin frozr
cooler master hyper 212+
corsair TX750
Samsung Spinpoint f3
Samsung 830 SSD

didn't see your memory listed here;

if both the board and memory manufacturer's website claims it's not compatible, then it's likely that's the problem, unfortunately
