I'm willing to spend $150 ~ 200 for a 3.50Ghz or possibly even a 4.00Ghz. My current CPU is a Intel Q9300 2.50Ghz and my motherboard is a Eureka3 IPIEL-LA3.

Go to Newegg.com and search on CPUs for the LGA775 socket, that board will support Intel Dual Core,Core 2 Duo,etc.

An upgrade for your Q9300 its a waste of money. Watch the prices http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_0?rh=k%3Aq9550%2Cn%...!493964%2Cn%3A541966%2Cn%3A193870011%2Cn%3A229189&bbn=193870011&keywords=q9550&ie=UTF8&qid=1326634200&rnid=193870011 is better to sell your CPU and buy an i5 2500k , motherboard and new RAM. And its all done. With 200$ buy a mobo and memory.
MOBO : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... 122$
RAM : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... 45$
