Been looking at graphics cards almost nonstop for the past 4 days. I had it narrowed down to getting the 6870, or the GTX 560 Ti. I then decided to go with the 6870.

However, after doing some more research, I came to realise that the 6950 should fit in my motherboard too.

The 6870 is perfect for my budget, and I don't really feel like going over, but the question is if it will run the Witcher 2 just fine?

Ok, I'm on a 1600x900 screen resolution. Also running an AMD XII 250

Omg yeah.. on a 1600x900 resolution, you will have no problems with Witcher 2 or any game coming out this year. Enjoy that 6870! I'll probably be getting one for my wife soon.

Depends on your resolution and also depends on what you consider "just fine"

@ 1920x1080, a 6870 should run it fine with a couple of decreased settings (ubersampling goes without question)

a 6950 at that resolution will do better of course, but you honestly should be just fine with that 6870 as long as you understand you wont be able to max everything out. Hell my 570 can't max everything out now anyways. That's not to say the game will look bad though, Witcher 2 is one of the most beautiful games I have ever played
