Which Graphics Card For HD Video Editing?

I've got two graphics cards, but I'm so confused on which one will be better for my needs.
I have:
GT430 1GB
and
8800 GTS 320mb
I'm sure the 8800 is better for Games and such, but which graphics card would be better for HD Video editing on
Premiere Pro + After Effects 5.5.
And how much different are they?

Welcome to the forums!
The GT430 would be the better choice for you for three specific reasons.
1) It has the same amount of shaders as the 8800GTS 320 (96) and they are clocked quite a bit higher.
2) It requires much less power to operate.
3) Mercury Hardware Acceleration requires at minimum 768MB VRAM to operate; the 8800GTS 320 only has 320MB.
Be aware though that you will have to perform a quick hack to enable CUDA acceleration.
