Hey guys, just wanting an informed opinion on which GPU to (appropriately) pair with my Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) CPU. Thanks in advance and looking to hear from the knowledgeable.

If you can afford the GTX 580, you should go for it. There's nothing like having the best and never having to worry if you have enough horsepower. Either card is a great match for your processor, and it really just depends on your video card budget. The sky's the limit with a Sandy Bridge CPU, so decide if you can spend $320 or $420 and pick accordingly.

Meh.. A GTX 570 will be plenty enough for anything up to 1080p. The difference between the two cards is anywhere from 10-15% in most games. In other words, 5-10 fps when you are getting over 60 fps. You will not be able to notice a difference between the two.

IMO get the 570 and save the money for a nice SSD on your system. An extra $200 is not worth 5 fps when you wont even notice it.
