Hi
What is OpenGl and is that important item for choosing a VGA card ? e.g. is here any notable difference between OpenGL4.1 , 4.0 or 3.1 ? :pt1cable:

OpenGL is similar to DirectX but less prevalent, many Steam games have OpenGL as an option. It is used more often for things that are meant to be crossplatform and not windows only as DirectX isnt exactly supported for Linux or Mac.

Unless you are doing something very specific that needs open GL(since you are asking im guessing not) you dont need to worry about the version numbers, pretty much everything will run on 3.0 except for some very few newer applications.
