Intel core i3 2120 good for gaming?

Alright simple question. Is it good for gaming?

I've seen benchmarks and other reviews online and it beats alot of quadcores out there, like the phenom 2 955.

the monitor being used is a 19" 1280 x 1024 resolution.

Also would it bottleneck a msi gtx 560 ti twin frozr 2? or is such a graphics card even needed? would i be fine with a gtx 460 for gaming at 1280 x 1024 resolution playing battlefield 3, RIFT, diablo 3, crysis 2.. and pretty much the latest and greatest games. I was thinking since it is a low resolution i should be able to max these games out and get 60 fps using s gtx 460.

  1. the 2120 is a 2100 with better graphics built in so you buy the cheaper 2100 since you are using a graphics card anyway .

At stock speeds it beats a Phenom 955 at gaming , but after a simple change in BIOS [ set up] the 955 can be overclocked and is then faster at games [ as well as everything else ] . The i3 cannot be overclocked .

At that resolution a 560 ti is overkill . A Radeon 6850 should give you goof speed and quality
