Dual screen start up delay

Hello, when I log on to my computer each morning the lefthand screen fires up immediately and I'm able to see the tool bar etc. Most of my programs will open and display on this screen. However, there is a delay of ten minutes or so before the righthand screen will strart up and show the righhand side of my desktop. This is problematic because some of my programs and even just my My Documents window will only open on the righthand side of the screen so I have to wait until I can see the whole desktop. This has been going on for weeks. The righthand screen has a blue flashing LED when it is still blank. I am running Windows XP. Hopefully somebody might have an idea as to what is wrong here.
