Hi everyone,

Hi hope that someone can help me with this issue...
I got a P5Q SE Asus Motherboard, atm with 4gb memory Team Elite 800mhz 6400 2x2GB, i bought another pair of the same memory so technically i got 8GB of Team Elite 800 mhz 6400 4x2gb but it doesnt work when i put everything together, 2 slots works fine more then that wont boot up.

I got windows 7 Ultimate 64

My bios settings atm are 5.5.5.15 at 1.8
My bios is updated to the latest upgrade acording to the oficial asus website.
I'v Tryed several diferent timmigs acording to the ones found in many foruns (including the factory timings ) like:

800mhz 5.5.5.18 / 15 at diferent frequencys from 1.9 to 2.2
800mhz 6.6.6.18 / 15 at diferent frequencys from 1.9 to 2.2

I'v Also tryed diferent memory like the Kingston DDR2 HyperX 2x2048MB 1066MHz Cas5 (with only the 2 slots), just from itself with the right memory timings it wont work for some reason.

I'v also read somewere that the default values of the motherboard in RAM are only detecting 0MB RAM instead of 16 MB non-OCC as it should is this true? can i change it? I'm not an expert on this, just been reading alot!! This is beeing so frustrating to me, spent so mutch money in memorys lately and i cant find the solution to my problem. I really hope that some of you guys have had this issue solved because i dont know what to do anymore.

Best regards,

Ricardo Guedes.

Hi...

Thanks for reply...
Now i have another strange problem...
With a normal mechanical hdd the bios starts quick only win7 64 with a bunch of junck software is slow, its normal...
But a SSD with only win7 64 on it, the bios takes a long time (with the cursor flicking on the top left corner takes 1min 10sec), and win7 64 almost instantanly...

Do i need to do anything else on bios for use the ssd to be quicker on boot??

Best regards...
