Compuer will not turn on. Power LED blinking

I just recently (five days ago) built this:


MB: Msi 990FXA-GD65
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955
GPU: Msi R6850
PSU: Corsair GS600
RAM: 8g (4g x2) 1600 Kingston HyperX

It has worked fine but this morning it will not turn on! The LED power indicator is flashing (about a tick per second) as if the machine was on stanby but when I hit the power button...nothing.

Sounds like a power supply issue. Have you tried unplugging it for about 10 minutes, and try plugging it back in?

What you can do is - power off the machine, unplug it from the wall. Now look on the inside of your case - and unplug and replug in all the molex and other power connectors.

If that doesn't do anything - if you have a spare PSU you could try out, that might work as well.

I unplugged the psu for a few minutes and re-plugged and it worked. Does this still mean my PSU might be bad?

It's possible. It may have been just one of those smalltime problems with a PSU (weird power problems maybe?).

You will most likely be fine now, but if you have any more issues - I would take another look at your PSU.
