Information for upgrade

Is the reason for upgrade to get more processor power?
If so that upgrade swapping a 2.8Ghz CPU for another 2.8Ghz or 3.0Ghz CPU is not a good option.
The CPUs are too close together in performance for the change to be worth the effort.
The performance would seem 'the same' to the users.

Thats an old PC fitted with a Pentium 4.

Unless your getting parts for peanuts, not finacially viable to upgrade.
