PCI-E clip coming off... motherboard?

So, I just installed my HD Radeon 7850 2 GB (huge GPU, bigger than I expected) so basically I had to reroute most of my wires just to barely fit it into my case and I accidentally broke off the PCI-E clip as I placed the GPU on to the slot.

I am now using the 7850 and so far everything is fine (so the PCI is reading it correctly) but I'm afraid the GPU will pop loose.

Will that happen? I screwed the GPU once (the available spot) at the back.

Will this warrant getting a new mobo? :/

Your fears are warrented. not having that clip could mean having your GPU come loose and lose contact possibly causing component failure.
