Dell m6500 gfx card replacement

Hello,
Don't know where to place my request, I've read some threads and couldn't find the right one (hope to be redirected if the topic was put somewhere i th's forum). The thing is - can I change my dell m6500 firepro 7820 to let say - quadro 3800 (or m5000)? Or Ati m8900? Is the mobo compatible?

If you have a free pci-e slot and a psu that can power it, then sure

Hmmm, I have read that Lenovo Thinkpad W701 series use the same mobo and it can support either ati 7820 or m3800 fx, but as m5000 is hell of a lot faster - what about heat? My precision (m6500) without battery runs flawlessly and cool, but on battery - lot of temp problems :/. I will try talking with someone from Dell service cuz god damn I can't find anything on the web about this topic :/
