Western Digital Livewire Powerline

Hello!

I am thinking about getting the Western Digital Livewire Powerline, but I have a few questions.....

1: Will it be fast? Right now I have my computer directly connected to my router, because I want a fast connection.

2: My house is about 50 years old, Will this still work?

I would talk to the dealer and arrange that if you have problems he'll offer a refund.

Powerline adapters are great when they work properly ..... WHEN.

There are really too many variables in house wiring for anyone to give you a sensible answer -- you'll just have to try.

Bear in mind also that they may generate noise on the mains -- possibly affecting neighbours -- so if you have hifi or ham radio enthusiast nearby you may cause them problems.
