How to set a 5.1ch speaker

im using entek e-5177 5.1 speaker with a subwoofer and 5 speakers..as there are many connections to be done i dont know how to connect the speakers wire to the subwoofer and to the pc on board sound card..i also tried myself connecting the wires to subwoofer but i had a bad experience when i connected ,the osund was awful like echoes ..in my speaker remote i saw two modes AUX and 5.1CH when i switch to aux i get a very better sound quality than 5.1ch..pls help

Its possible you have the Sub/Center channel swapped; most soundcards have the ability to flip this output, so you might want to see if thats the problem...
