I am planning on installing a CM Hyper 212 Evo on my ASRock Z77 Extreme4 board. I will initially get 2 sticks of RAM, but may later upgrade to 4 sticks. I am wondering if there will be enough space between the cooler and RAM slots to allow for an additional 2 more sticks of RAM.

Solution
Yes there will be, there is over enough clearance and that cooler is not that big.

What OC are you trying to reach and with what CPU?
Yes every chip, even if they are identical 3570K, behave differently.

You may have had bad luck and gotten a chip that runs hot, or won't OC stably. But it does not happen often.

Mine for example max's out at 4.6GHz, no matter how much cooling i provide or what Mobo I use. It just becomes unstable above 4.6GHz. Not that I am complaining. Thats a decent OC for Ivy Bridge.
