Problem with my ups

i calculated psu wattage with the system specs and it said minimum psu wattage is 339w, Recommended
PSU Wattage: 389w..but my ups supports only upto 340w if i use this ups with the higher watts will the ups backup time is drastically decreased
the specs are
intel i5 2400
intel dh67vr
amd 6950 1gb
xfx pro 550w
seagate 500gb 3gb/s hdd
kingston 64gb sata2 ssd
asus xonar sound card
lg dvd witer
4x2 gb ddr3 1333mhz corsair ram

Yes the UPS backup time will only be fraction of what it should, maybe 10% if you are lucky. But the PSU calculator you used is not accurate.

The HD6950 will draw quite abit more, you can expect a 550+ draw from the wall socket under load.

my ups normally gives 10minutes of backup if i use this system how much backup will i get atleast 5 minutes to shutdown

What no? Those are mesured on GPU alone?? Add a overclocked I7 and a whole system???

The whole computer will draw ~250-300W, so the UPS should be fine. It would be nice to have more headroom, but you'll live.

thanks ..as i brought only before 6 months i cant change it now after 2 years i will change to a good ups..
