I want to know if it is a good investment or not to but an AM3+ motherboard. The reason I'm asking is because I've been out of the "computer world" for about a good year or more. I'm WAY behind on what's going on. Currently, I own a broken ASUS M4A88t-V EVO USB3 and I'm looking for a good replacement. It has already broken on me once before so I am deciding just to buy a new motherboard. Because I've been out of the computer world for a while, I don't know how good and future proof an AM3+ motherboard is. I know that they work with the both the bulldozer and phenom cpus but that's about it. Basically, give me the scoop on the AM3+ motherboards.
My current setup:
M4A88T-V EVO USB 3
XFX hd 6850
8 gigs rips jaws, 2 x 4 gb sticks
Ultra LSP 550w
AMD phenom II x6 1055t (or something like that)
