I have an intel build i7-3770k processor on Asus p8z77-V Deluxe board with EVGA GTX 680 GPU asking (after it's too late!).

I ran across a 12 hour sale for G.Skill Ripjaws Z series ram for $90 for 16GB and with only a short time to research it to see if it would complement my motherboard/CPU. All I really got from my shortened research was that it was compatible with the dual channel 1155 Intel chipset, even though my board takes dual channel ram and this G.Skill is quad channel made mostly for the 2011 socket.
Now that it just arrived I'd like to hear opinions from those who savy whether or not this was an OK buy and if I should return it for different RAM. I can still send it back for a restocking fee and shipping which total for both is $19.00. Although maybe it will work just fine for me?
It's G.Sill Ripjaws Z series 4x4GB DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) model F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL.

I am planning on using it on the ASUS board and CPU mentioned above.

Any and all feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks,
George

P.S. Money matter right now (allot!)
