yeah but the calculations wont be that heavy, and i feel that the 6870 has a better price/performance then nvidia's 560Ti.
I was also wondering if a 6 core would be a good idea, since it will probably be useless for games. So would a 4 core be a better choice here?? Lets say a X4 955 or X4 965?

The HD 6850 is by far better value. There is no argument there. It's been said, probably countless times, on average the HD 6870 costs 33% more for only 7% more performance. The 6850s also generally have more OC headroom

It has been said that 6850's can overclock a lot more than the 6870's can. Though don't base it on that alone as if you really need 6870 performance then go with that. The 6850 so far has exceeded my expectations.

No point in buying six cores if you are just buying 1075T, if you are not going to buy 1100T then go for 955.

If then you are gonna use your system for CADing purpose etc.. I suggest you go for an 8GB ram.

Hmm yeah i will probably get a x4 955 and OC it a bit, and also decided to get different RAM, with lower Latency
click here, it a Corsair XMS3 — 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit CL7. It is cheaper then the mushkin.
