System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming

Parts Preferences: by brand or type: Intel or Amd based system, whatever has more bang for buck.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes


Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 maybe higher

Additional Comments: i also need a desk, speakers, keyboard, mouse and monitor.

HD 6950 2 GB or GTX 570
620-650W PSU from Antec, XFX, Seasonic, PC Power & Cooling, or Corsair
1920x1080 monitor from Acer
inexpensive keyboard & mouse (PS2 keyboard, USB mouse -- wired is cheaper), inexpensive 2.1 speaker set.

should be around 1000-1100 pounds, leaving plenty for windows and a nice desk,

Although Squirrels suggested build is a damn good one, I wouldn't change anything there
