GTX 590 with dell 690?

I have a dell 690 about 3 years old. I am wanting to upgrade my Card and wonder if buying a top of the line card would be a wise choice on the 5000 series chipset. I can't do SLI I didn't by the riser version. I have two 3.2ghz processors. I am thinking about a GTX 590. would this be a good idea or waste of $$$?

  1. I think it would be a bad idea because of the system you plan to use it with and a waste of money.

What are your full system specs?(CPU,RAM,etc.)

What is the make/model of your PSU?

Obviously if your planning on buying a GTX590 you don't really have a budget but if you would like to keep it within a certain amount let us know.
  2. I think 590 might bottle neck on that chipset, i have 285gtx on my 690, and it works fine, but 590 might be too fast for it. I get 60 to 80fps in BFBC 2 and 40 to 60fps in BF3 on high setting using 22" monitor.
