Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (

Country of Origin: (USA)

Parts That I have picked out:

Graphics card: SAPPHIRE 100328L Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

(If it is not to outdated, will eventually upgrade it if I do use it.)

CD/DVD drive: The gateway 838gm’s drives hopefully?

Total price: about $490ish

Overclocking: Maybe?

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe?

Monitor Resolution: (idk, I will be using a 42” TV)

Additional Comments: (I Would like to keep the price down low as possible as I am only 17 with no job, so if there are things I can change to lower the price, please tell me. This will be my first computer build/ with no prior experience. I would also like to know if I could use parts from my old gateway 838gm to save money. Also please let me know if I forgot something and if some of the parts that I picked out are incompatible. )
And also, will I need to buy any extra cables for this build?

    $75 AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition Heka 2.8GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 95W (OEM, so needs a HSF)
    $26 COOLER MASTER Hyper 212

Total, no OS: $485 + S&H (not counting MIR, or combo/specials)

*EDIT* most of these have free shipping, and the Hyper 212 will allow a good OC of the proc (I have that X3 in my spare, and it has no issues with Oblivion, Fallout, or Fallen Earth, using an old 9800GX2 KO)
  2. Thanks for the quick reply, I just realized that some of the parts I listed are old and for the same price I can get a newer/better part, such as The Ram you listed.

Also thanks again on the advice.
