Hello,

I am trying to add another laptop to my D-link 524 wireless router. When I change the WAN and hit accept it doesn't save any of the changes I have made. I have tried both the Dynamic and Static IP Address.
At the cmd prompt ipconfig /all says dchp enabled.....no

How do I fix this?? Thanks!

Why are you changing the WAN? Once the WAN configuration is set on the router and working, you leave it alone. Adding more clients (PCs, laptops, etc.) should require no further changes to the router, at all.

If the laptop using ipconfig is reporting DHCP enabled is no, then go to Start, type "ncpa.cpl" (no quotes), and hit enter. Locate your network connection, right click it, select Properties, and you'll see the details for that connection. In the list box, locate TCP/IP, select it, and hit the Properties button. Make sure "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected. Hit OK (to close the dialog box), hit OK (to close the connection properties), and the network will reset.
