Hey I have not been paying close attention to gpu/cpu evolution for the past 3 years, the last time I was a real PC enthusiast the Radeon 9600 256mb was the hottest card around. :kaola:

Approximate Purchase Date: Within a month

Budget Range: 400-500 after rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important:University school work; multi-tasking, playing some games on low settings

Parts Not Required: OS, Speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.: newegg.ca, tigerdirect.ca

Country of Origin: Canada

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: Is Intel still best for multi-tasking?

Overclocking: not important

SLI or Crossfire: no

Monitor Resolution: I am thinking dual monitors

Additional Comments: While this is going to be a school pc I would still like to be able to play Diablo 3 on low settings so please, no on-baord video

Solution
a llano build around the A8-3850 would be around your price, and its onboard GPU should do diablo 3 at medium settings, 1680x1050, around 35 fps.
