After installing nvidia drivers for GTX 570, screen goes blank

After installing nvidia drivers for GTX 570, screen goes blank after windows 7 boots up. Sound works and everything but there is nothing on the screen. I have tried uninstalling and installing older versions of the drivers but still no go. I have even used driver sweeper to get rid of any rements of the drivers before I reinstall. I had this issue awhile back when I first installed windows 7 on this system, but for some reason it resolved itself.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. The GPU works fine, its just after the driver instal that things go wrong.

get the latest driver at nvdia

Start the rig in safe mode uninstall Nvidia drivers and software's from the system.
Reboot and let windows 7 update the drivers from the net.
Make sure the card is properly seated and fixed in the rig with the Power in the card connected.
Also make sure that all the softwares that came bundled with your GPU are uninstalled from the rig before you let Win7 update the drivers.
