Looking at a nice motherboard and the Graphics slot looks odd.

I was looking at buying 2 graphics cards later in the future. And the PCI E 3.0 says" PCI Express 3.0 x16 2 (x16/0 or x8/x8)" does this mean I can put in 2 PCI 3.0 cards with x16? I will post links to graphics card and motherboard.

More about looking nice motherboard graphics slot
  1. it means I believe that there are two lanes but if one is occupied it will work as X16 if two are occupied it will work as X8 for both.
But I would wait until someone with more knowledge comments on this lol
  2. It means that with two GPU's you'll be running at X8 PCI Express on each. Which is absolutely fine, you don't need to have dual X16 to get everything out of your GPU's as of yet.
  3. So both cards will go full speed still? If that is true that makes me feel better. But I guess the real detail I am actaully confused about then what is exactly 8x and 16x?

X16 means there are 16 lanes running to a particular PCI Express slot, X8 means 8 lanes, x4 4 lanes and x1 is a single lane.

Check out this link for a comparison on a GTX 680 at x8 and x16. The difference is nothing to worry about at this point. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2012/07/18/pci_express_20_vs_30_gpu_gaming_performance_review/2
